Auckland, New Zealand · Restaurant environment

About the project

Jiumeet Auckland pairs a black frontage and circular openings with rich red walls for a refined dining setting. Cream upholstered seating, dark tables and warm pendant lighting create a comfortable contrast. Gold-patterned bar surfaces and illuminated rings form a central feature. Window seats, small tables and a longer group setting offer several dining scales.

A reading of the space

Design approach

Red, black and cream give the room a concise palette. Circular openings and ring lights echo one another and soften the longer views. Pattern and light concentrate attention on the bar, while restrained furniture lets that feature stand out. Window banquettes use daylight, with upholstery and local lighting creating a more intimate scale inside.
