About the project
Makan Malah NUS uses green, red and yellow with playful food graphics to create a lively campus dining setting. A visible ingredient counter makes ordering part of the experience. A long red banquette, pale square tables and dark chairs keep the seating straightforward, while green vertical fins and red overhead lines distinguish the different parts of the room.
A reading of the space
Design approach
Brand colours also organise the space: green links the counter and screens, red forms a continuous seating edge, and pale tabletops keep the composition light. Repeated small tables allow varied groupings along the bench. A clear visual connection between the entrance and ingredient display helps explain the ordering sequence.
