About the project
Qiao Sushi Australia pairs a bright yellow ceiling with warm timber furniture and rows of globe pendants for an open, informal sushi setting. Fine coloured lines, Japanese-style lanterns and simple signs add rhythm above the conveyor. A small delivery train brings movement into view. Booths, high counter seats and a glazed frontage connect the dining activity with the street.
A reading of the space
Design approach
Yellow unifies the overhead plane, timber gives the furniture warmth, and white lighting elements keep the composition light. Seats follow the conveyor so the relationship between dining and movement stays clear. Repeated frames, pendants and lanterns establish continuity, while the transparent frontage makes the bright interior part of the arrival experience.
